The Emergence Process of Construction Project Resilience: A Social Network Analysis Approach

For construction projects, resilience is the process of resisting and recovering from adversity. With global economic social environment constantly changing, improving projects has become a research hotspot in field project management. On basis capital theory, this study constructs organization evaluation system two dimensions bonding bridging capitals. Then, new theoretical framework proposed: network dynamic model based on resource conservation strategy. Using survey data 247 engineering practitioners, considers emergence three phases The results reveal that when hit by adversity, investment will increase but decrease recovery phase. Protective demonstrates opposite. However, both types finally reach higher level than before thus forming an curve resilience. This helps to understand resilience, provides feasible method calculate different disasters, improves risk response ability projects.
